This comprehensive online course provides the foundational knowledge required for safe and effective operation of sit-down counterbalance forklifts. Participants will learn key concepts including forklift classifications, operating principles, load stability, balance, and capacity. The course also covers pre-operation inspections, safe operating guidelines, load handling, refueling and recharging procedures, and OSHA regulations under 29 CFR 1910.178. Emphasis is placed on preventing common forklift-related injuries through proper technique, hazard awareness, and compliance with safety standards. This program fulfills the classroom (theory) portion of forklift operator training; all practical evaluations and hands-on skill demonstrations must be completed in person at a later date. A certificate of completion is automatically issued upon successfully passing all quizzes and the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.
