Respiratory Protection Training provides workers and supervisors with a comprehensive understanding of how to recognize respiratory hazards and properly use respiratory protection equipment in accordance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134. This course covers types of airborne hazards, including dusts, fumes, vapors, and gases, as well as the selection and limitations of various respirators such as filtering facepieces, elastomeric respirators, and supplied-air systems. Participants will learn proper inspection, donning and doffing procedures, fit testing requirements, maintenance, storage, and cleaning of respiratory equipment. The course also addresses medical evaluations, cartridge change-out schedules, and employer responsibilities for implementing an effective respiratory protection program. Through practical guidance and real-world scenarios, learners gain the knowledge needed to protect themselves from inhalation hazards, ensure regulatory compliance, and support a safe and healthy work environment.
