This online course provides essential training on preventing slips, trips, and falls in the workplace through a detailed review of OSHA 29 CFR 1910 Subpart D – Walking-Working Surfaces. Participants will learn how to identify, assess, and control common hazards associated with floors, ladders, stairways, ramps, scaffolds, and elevated work areas. The program covers key topics including fall protection systems, surface condition requirements, safe access and egress, inspection protocols, and employee/employer responsibilities. Emphasis is placed on proactive hazard recognition, documentation, and compliance practices to minimize workplace incidents and ensure regulatory adherence. This course fulfills the classroom (theory) portion of training; any required practical demonstrations must be completed in person at a later date. A certificate of completion is automatically issued upon successfully passing all quizzes and the final exam with a score of 80% or higher.
