Class A Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) provides new and upgrading commercial motor vehicle drivers with the federally mandated theory instruction required to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 380, Appendix A. This program covers driver qualifications, basic operation, safe operating procedures, advanced vehicle systems, hours of service, wellness, and regulatory compliance. Upon successful completion, training results are submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), allowing learners to proceed to behind-the-wheel instruction and CDL skills testing.
