B to A Upgrade ELDT Training provides commercial motor vehicle drivers with the federally required entry-level driver training necessary to upgrade from a Class B to a Class A Commercial Driver’s License, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 380. This course covers the core theory topics mandated by the FMCSA, including vehicle operation, safe operating procedures, advanced vehicle systems, hours of service, cargo handling, and regulatory compliance. Upon successful completion, training records are submitted to the Training Provider Registry (TPR), qualifying drivers to proceed with behind-the-wheel training and skills testing for the Class A CDL.
