Class B Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) provides new commercial motor vehicle drivers with the federally required theory instruction necessary to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver’s License, in accordance with 49 CFR Part 380, Appendix B. This program covers driver responsibilities, basic vehicle operation, safe operating procedures, vehicle systems and malfunction reporting, hours of service, wellness, and regulatory compliance. Upon successful completion, training results are submitted to the FMCSA Training Provider Registry (TPR), allowing learners to proceed to behind-the-wheel training and CDL skills testing.
