Welding Level 1: Welding Fundamentals introduces students to the essential knowledge and skills needed to begin a career in welding. This course covers welding terminology, common welding and cutting processes, shop and personal safety, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) equipment, machine setup, and the fundamental techniques used to produce quality welds on plate. Students will build a strong foundation in safe work practices, equipment operation, and basic welding principles that prepare them for more advanced welding processes and hands-on skill development in subsequent levels.
